Installing F5 VM

Download F5 vm version from www.f5.com/trial

1. import F5 BIGIP-11.6.0.0.0.401.ALL-scsi.ova

-open vSphere Client
-click File/Deploy OVF Template menu and point to BIGIP-11.6.0.0.0.401.ALL-scsi.ova file
-Source
click Next
-OVF Template Details
click Next
-End User License Agreement
click Accept
click Next
-Name and Location
Name: F5
click Next
Deployment and Configuration
Configuration: 2CPUs/16384 MB RAM
click Next
-Disk Format
click Thin Provision
click Next
-Network Mapping
Please change accordingly or we can change this later
click Next

-Ready to Complete
untick Power on after deployement
click Finish
 -Resize HD1.1 to 100GB and HD2.1 to 50GB
HD2.1 will be used by special module
Power on the vm

2. Configuration
-It will automatically get dhcp by default
-Login: root
Password: default

IP Address: 10.0.0.160
Netmask: 255.255.255.0

-open your browser and go to https://10.0.0.160
Login: admin
Password: admin
click Login
-Setup Utility
click Next
-get the license from www.f5.com/trial
-License
click Activate
Base Registration Key: CQQPB-DXUJF-GZUOW-JZFDD-ABCDE
click Next
-EULA
click Accept

Click Device Certificates
Click Renew

To make it more secure, only allow ssh from certain ip address
